Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.
As the Communications Coordinator, Carer Gateway, you will partner closely with Executive Manager Carer Gateway and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the promotion of Carer Gateway across region 4 (Central Coast, Newcastle, Mid North Coast and New England Regions). This is achieved through communication, advertising, marketing, and media engagement. This includes coordinating activities for National Carers Week in October and written articles for Carers News.
This role will suit someone who is able to work autonomously, is proactive in their approach and it is an ideal chance for someone to gain broad experience across a varied communications role.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or public relations.
• In depth understanding and experience implementing communication and engagement strategies.
• Excellent written and communications skills – including proficiency in content writing and editing
• Demonstrated experience utilising Adobe Acrobat, canva and illustrator
• Project management experience
• Organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Strong Interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with a wide cross section of people

It would be highly desirable if you have an understanding of carers’ issues and needs.
This is a full time role, contract role. The Salary Package is between $98K to $103K + Super. In addition, you will have access to salary sacrificing benefits and gain exposure across all aspects of communications including creative design, marketing, strategy, media and events.
