Job Description
The Communications Coordinator role is a part of the Global Sales & Marketing department and supports corporate and internal communications. You will be responsible for maintaining an effective intranet ("insite") experience by coordinating and editing weekly articles, providing an organized and positive user experience, and ensuring information and content are current on various pages. You will play a key role in overseeing internal communication channels meant to inform employees of important news and changes (Employee News and Global News) and support the overall dissemination of information throughout the Company. Additionally, you will assist with content creation, review, and editing for executive communications and special projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage internal communication mailboxes, including Employee News and Global News
  • Coordinate, review, and publish intranet articles and information, maintain homepage
  • Ad hoc assistance with SharePoint sites and pages
  • Support corporate communications tactical business plans and projects to create engaging and compelling content for our global network
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other communications roles – including Digital Marketing, Design, Digital Media, Products, and Services - to effectively plan, create, and communicate content
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and new solutions both at Corporate and globally

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Enjoys writing and editing
  • Possesses excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrates detail-oriented project management and time management skills
  • Produces high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Proficient in full Microsoft Office suite

    Can be based out of any of Expeditors’ Seattle-area offices (Bellevue, Federal Way, Lynnwood, Seattle)

Expected Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
