POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Communication Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting our internal communication efforts. Working closely with product groups, training and development, and executive leadership, this person will help create messaging and communication strategies for employee engagement and operations communication.
To succeed in this role, you must be a capable writer and communicator, fast learner, adept at managing multiple responsibilities and able to work collaboratively with business partners at all levels of the organization. This position demands a person with high attention to detail and time management skills to consistently meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years’ corporate communication experience with focus on employee communication.
- Bachelor’s degree required (journalism, communication or related field strongly preferred).
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail (portfolio of recent work required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Video editing skills or the ability and desire to learn video editing.
- Previous track record of successfully meeting deadlines and project expectations.
- Solid skills with peripheral technology such as digital cameras, scanners, printers and A/V equipment.
- Ability to work closely on a daily basis with internal and outside professionals on a project team.
- Ability to work non-standard office hours, as necessary, and travel when required.
- Experience with a broad range of communication channels (e.g., written, social media, portal) and ability to use them strategically to influence and inform important stakeholders.
- A high level of intelligence, analytical problem solving, critical thinking, planning and organizing skills (e.g., good at setting and achieving priorities, time management).
- High motivation to excel.
- Strong ethics that will reflect positively on the company.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish credibility as a strong performer and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of Kiewit.

Compensation: $60,000 - 65,000

Responsibilities:
- Serve an integral role in the development and execution of the group’s internal communication strategy to help us reach our business objectives and deliver against key priorities.
- Develop and deliver promotional and operational communications
- Support the development of key presentations to deliver messages to internal and external audiences.
- Help develop and use effective, results-focused internal communication tools as part of the overall mix of solutions, ensuring a consistent flow of key messages through all internal communication vehicles.
- Help as needed with management of the organization’s home page content.
- Research and employ key metrics to regularly assess the effectiveness of all internal communication.
- Leverage and help manage key internal technologies to improve information sharing and collaboration.
- Work with key outside writing and design vendors.
