INTECON, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Data Analyst to support AFWERX’s Strategic Communications Team. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting communication-related data to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach, in-reach, and engagement initiatives. The selected candidate will leverage data analytics tools to measure campaign performance, stakeholder engagement, and audience insights, providing actionable intelligence to enhance strategic communication efforts.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Communications, Marketing, Business Intelligence, or a related field

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, communications analytics, or marketing research, preferably in a military, government, or corporate communications environment.
  • Expertise in data visualization, reporting, and dashboard creation using Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics, social media engagement analytics, and SEO performance tracking.
  • Exceptional data storytelling abilities, with the capability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in survey design, audience segmentation, and customer journey mapping.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, predictive modeling, and quantitative data analysis techniques.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and data-driven stakeholder engagement tracking tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timely data reporting.

Responsibilities:

The Communications Data Analyst will:

  • Develop and maintain metrics dashboards to track and visualize performance of communication initiatives across multiple platforms, including digital media, social media, email campaigns, events, and websites.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive stakeholder engagement database, tracking interactions across various communications platforms (CRM or equivalent system).
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, campaign performance, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Communications (StratComm) team to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for communication campaigns and projects.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from collected data to recommend evidence-based improvements to communication strategies.
  • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and audience research to understand stakeholder perceptions and engagement levels.
  • Develop data-driven reports and visualizations, presenting findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders in a clear and compelling format.
  • Provide data-driven guidance on content strategy, audience segmentation, and campaign targeting for improved engagement.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in data analytics, AI-driven communication insights, and digital marketing metrics.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance with DoD policies, and adherence to federal regulations for data management and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align communication strategies with operational objectives.
  • Provide training or guidance to team members on data-driven decision-making to improve communications impact.
