If you’re experienced in writing, creating stories of the great work our colleagues do across the Trust, working with the media and value the importance of positive working relationships with the media, to help us effectively engage with people in Norfolk and Suffolk then we want to hear from you.
This role will provide additional capacity to help showcase our journey of improvement as a Trust, ensuring that people always know what we are doing across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Communications

  • Develop good working relationships with all relevant areas of press and broadcasting media and external stakeholders. To respond to media enquiries and write proactive press releases, stakeholder briefings and other articles.
  • Assist in publicising the work of the Trust through development of

good news / promotional opportunities with press and other media,

arranging interviews and photo opportunities.

  • Work closely with Care Groups to provide support, advice and help

for their individual communication activities.

  • Monitor and review media coverage and maintain a media enquiry database.

Communications

  • Contribute to the upkeep of the Trust’s website and intranet site – to provide accurate and timely information for staff, Members and the public.
  • Ensure all communication, which may be complex, contentious or

sensitive, is undertaken in a responsive and inclusive manner,

focusing on improvement andways to move forward.

  • Ensure all communication is presented appropriately to the different recipients, according to levels of understanding, type of

communication being imparted andpossible barriers such as
language, culture, understanding or physical or mentalhealth

conditions.

  • Maximise use of online media and social media where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for positive PR opportunity.
  • Maintain and update the media and external relations forward planning diary.
  • Horizon scan effectively to anticipate difficult issues which could damage the Trust’s reputation, or to identify opportunities for positive PR activity.
  • Support the delivery of public information campaigns relating to public health

and other organisational priorities. This will involve developing campaign plans, undertaking stakeholder insight, working with external print and design and writing and editing campaign materials.

  • Maintain photo library and shared drives.

Graphic Design
1. Create and develop graphic design solutions for the Trust, to include the following core
publications, exploring effective and innovative methods of production:
A. Patient information
B. Posters, promotional literature and other publicity/campaign materials
C. Presentations
D. Corporate publications
E. Easy Read material
F. Exhibition and display material
2. Produce high-quality output across print and digital mediums as specified.
3. Provide creative support and solutions to design briefs and ensure the department’s
resources are effectively maintained, and refreshed as appropriate.
4. Proactively advise and liaise with services to establish their needs, using design
software to complete projects and revising projects based on client feedback.
5. Coordinating with external design agencies and printers, as necessary.
6. Ensure timely production and cataloguing of corporate leaflets and inclusion on the
Trust’s website and the intranet Leaflet Rack.
7. Designing new and updating current literature following corporate branding guidelines to
drive consistency and champion the NHS brand.

8. Administer tight version control and maintain all necessary shared documentation, e.g.,
brand/style guides and document layout specifications.
9. Manage images for publications and electronic media, ensuring appropriate consent is in place.
10.Working with other team members to deliver projects and activity to deliver against deadlines
