Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Help develop and edit communications content, including but not limited to press releases, media briefings, project pages, technical briefing sheets, internal and external newsletters
- Participate in communications strategy and planning
- Research and help coordinate upcoming conferences, PR opportunities, and other activities
- Maintain and update communications materials and databases
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams
- Miscellaneous duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher (open to all majors- communications, marketing, journalism, engineering, architectural studies, history, psychology, sociology, liberal arts, etc.,)
- Strong storytelling, writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with the following computer applications: Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite
- Must have strong collaboration skills and a proactive attitude, with an ability to work within a team environment and with staff of all levels
- Availability to work flexible hours when occasionally required
- Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
