Job Purpose
This role will function as a key player on a high-impact Communications Team responsible for creating and executing communications across a variety of channels. The Communications Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager, Communications, and company leaders to ensure internal and external communications align with company priorities and initiatives while informing, engaging and inspiring the team.
The Communications Manager must communicate clearly and concisely, deal with ambiguity, work calmly under pressure, and represent the brand to the highest standards within and outside of the organization.

What you will do…

  • Collaborates with key players to identify communications opportunities and provide critical messaging to stakeholder groups in the organization, including field and corporate employees of all levels
  • Writes, edits and distributes a wide variety of communications materials, including blog articles and internal communications
  • Develops strategy, writes, edits, and distributes multiple internal publications (i.e., weekly newsletters and quarterly employee magazine)
  • Drafts and edits external communications, including press releases and company-recognition initiatives like award applications
  • Collaborates with internal teams, including Human Resources, Sustainability and Safety, to amplify brand attributes and develop stories that define the company’s core values
  • Supports the Communications Team in other duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on a corporate communications team

Skills

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, including knowledge and usage of Associated Press style; writing samples will be required
  • Demonstrated storytelling ability across a variety of communications channels
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven time-management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple, competing priorities
  • Professional and confident presence to engage internal partners and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships across all levels of the company
  • Collaborative contributor, able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver innovative ideas and solutions

Compensation Data:
$85,000 - $100,000
