Description:
Piringa Hapū is seeking a dynamic and organized Communications Officer & Administration Support to enhance our communication strategies while providing essential administrative assistance. This will be a Full time Fixed Term role for 12 months. If you’re a creative storyteller with a passion for community and organizational development, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and the website.
- Manage social media accounts, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance.
- Assist with public relations strategies, media outreach, and drafting press materials.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across communication channels.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, event planning, data management, and preparing reports.
About You:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with website development using platforms like Hostinger.
- Basic understanding of Xero would be advantageous.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for effective communication.
