COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER - DIGITISATION PROJECT

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated communicator to join the Science Communications & Engagement team at RBG Kew, to deliver a suite of communications in support of Kew’s Digitisation Project.
The outputs you produce will highlight the impact of Kew’s collections, create opportunity for novel science projects outside of Kew, attract interest from the science and research communities, and enable new funding sources to be secured to support the digitisation of our world-leading collection of plant and fungal specimens.

As Kew’s Digitisation project continues to race towards the completion of its objectives, we’re seeking an effective and driven communicator to share the stories of Kew’s collections and people, and help raise awareness and use of the hugely valuable digital resource that the project is producing.
The role will utilise the existing tools and resources available across RBG Kew to ensure the timely planning and delivery of high-quality content and engagement opportunities. This will include communicating the value and impact of the Digitisation Project and Kew’s collections through shaping content for Kew’s external digital channels, media, internal channels, and fundraising materials. You will have a keen eye for evaluating the impact of communications outputs, and seek to ensure the full and timely delivery of the Digitisation Project Communications Strategy’s objectives.
Interviews will take place in February/March 2025.
This role is based at Kew with the option of home working, subject to operational requirements.

The salary for this position is £32,900 - £36,505 per annum (pro rata), depending on skills and experience [Band C]
