Responsibilities:

Oxford University’s Gardens, Libraries, and Museums (GLAM) encompass some of the world’s most significant collections and they comprise: the Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Libraries, History of Science Museum, Museum of Natural History, Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum, and the Pitt Rivers Museum. These institutions play a vital role in supporting the University’s teaching, research, and community engagement goals, while also serving as the public face of the University, welcoming more than 3.5 million visitors per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to join GLAM’s Marketing & Communications team to support internal and external communications across GLAM.
You will support and deliver day-to-day communication activities within the GLAM Division, promoting the work of the Division and our institutions to both internal and external audiences. You will plan and deliver all internal communications activity, from producing newsletters and coordinating briefing events. You will also support external communications, from developing content for the GLAM website and commissioning new photography to producing reports and evaluating activity. A key aspect of work will be building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues in the Gardens, Libraries and Museums and the wider University.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The role supports a hybrid working model, with the expectation of working on-site at least three days per week. Some weekend work may be required as part of this role.
