- A bachelor or master’s qualification in communications, marketing or public relations or equivalent experience in a corporate affairs or communications role in the private or public sectors.
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for an engaging, creative and experiened Communications Partner to join the Business Operations division. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will be an integral member of the Communications team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing communications across multiple channels to support VMIA’s strategy and business objectives.
WHAT YOU DO
- You lead and execute communications that are fit-for-purpose, by developing a deep understanding of VMIA’s priorities.
- You bring exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strategic lens to VMIA communications, ensuring we reach the right internal and external audience through the right channel at the right time.
- You develop materials and use delivery channels in a client‑centric way that reflects VMIA’s objectives.
- You collaborate with, influence, and advise internal and external stakeholders and partners, providing communications guidance and expertise.
- You lead the design and creation of employee and client focused content and materials to support communication activities using a range of channels: in person, verbal, written, virtual, social media, traditional media, digital and multimedia.
- You monitor and evaluate internal and external engagement in specified metrics, using data and insights to create relevant, timely communications that add value to our clients and people.
- You support the overall communications agenda that’s aligned to VMIA’s organisational strategy.
- You promote and embed our guidelines and communication best practice through all channels, providing support and guidance for our people to feel confident that their communication is consistent with our brand.
You empower our people to be ambassadors of the VMIA brand by correctly applying our brand voice and government style guides that take a ‘digital first’ approach to plain English communication.
Who you work with
You work closely with the external client-facing teams, subject matter experts, project and change managers, the data and insights team, VMIA Senior Leaders and Executives.
- You work closely with members of the Corporate Affairs team to support portfolio and whole of-business delivery of VMIA’s broader communications and organisational strategy.
- You work across VMIA to gain input and content for your strategic communications, to reflect broader organisational and strategic objectives, and the cyclical operational rhythm of the business.
