Description:
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
The Specialist, Communications in After Sales is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing marketing and communication initiatives. This role is crucial for successfully launching new campaigns and maintaining digital assets. The Specialist acts as a key product expert for After Sales, ensuring alignment with market needs and enhancing product and service positioning within the industry. Supporting brand awareness, business growth and the customer experience.
Reporting Structure: Position reports directly to the Manager, Retail After Sales.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in marketing communications and other activities, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Education: University degree preferred; minimum college diploma in business-related field.
- Key Skills: Strong organizational and planning abilities, excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and analytical reporting capabilities.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in French is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Brand Development: Strengthen and promote all After Sales brands in all channels through consistent themes and messaging, creative campaigns, and strategic positioning.
- Campaign Management: Create and implement marketing campaigns including briefs and work plans across various channels—digital, print, and social media—to effectively reach target customers and achieve marketing and business goals.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content for multiple platforms, including websites, social media, and marketing materials. Ensure alignment with brand identity (attributes) and customer relevance, focusing on brands and channels such as Kia Service, Kia Genuine Parts, Kia Certified Technicians, Kia Protect, Kia Accessories, Kia Tire Experts and Kia Collection.
- Digital Marketing: Revise kia.ca website design to support brand and communication strategies. Keep website content current and assist with social media, SEO, advertising, and email marketing.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall brand compliance and business objectives, promoting initiatives like Kia Service, Kia Protect and Kia Accessories.
- Support: Collaborate with other After Sales stakeholders to create an annual (business plan) strategy & tactics including programs like Kia Customer Direct, Contests like the Parts & Service Challenge and for incentives like Win-Back customers.
- Vendor Management: Oversee agencies, contractors, and print vendors in the creation of promotional materials. Strong communications, work plans, and tracking.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze marketing campaign other activity performances, offering actionable insights for ongoing improvement. Utilize data to measure ROI and refine strategies.
