Description:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) team within Microsoft Canada is at the core of our business, supporting the strategy and execution for the Office of the President. We are a cross-functional team that drives Canada-wide workstreams in partnership with our business stakeholders. As a member of our Chief of Staff team, you will play a crucial role in driving change, leading and landing programs, and supporting the business with insights to influence strategy and direction. Your contributions will help us prioritize our initiatives and make informed decisions that drive our business forward.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field (OR Currently Pursuing)OR equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (PQS)

  • 1+ year(s) experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role
  • 1+ year(s) experience working with social media platforms*
    Communications IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $51,700 - CAD $99,400 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • You will coordinate with others to produce communications materials and tactics, working with agencies as needed. You’ll also help choose and manage agency partnerships.
  • You will execute tactics to support the overall communications strategy. This will involve creating a consistent voice across channels and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • You will use data and insights to support storytelling opportunities, while also determining the format of a given story under guidance. You’ll also recommend and develop collateral materials for specific initiatives and events. You will write and edit speeches, presentations, and other communication materials for executives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and messaging.
  • You will leverage your understanding of stakeholders to execute tasks and manage expectations and priorities. You’ll also help identify opportunities to enhance public perception of Microsoft, as well as spot potential impacts to our reputation.
  • You will leverage digital platforms and tools to enhance engagement and reach, exploring new ways to connect with audiences. You will support the digital presence of executives through strategic use of social media and other online platforms.You will identify new opportunities and tactics for engaging with target audiences that are aligned to modern communication trends.
  • You will monitor the impact of messaging within a defined area and create responses as needed. You’ll also gather data from various sources and identify opportunities to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategy gaps.
