WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role, ideally in a Corporate Communications setting.
  • Experience managing SharePoint and other Microsoft tools.
  • Familiarity with channel frameworks and content calendar management.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Viva Engage).
  • Design skills with the ability to use Canva.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative in identifying and solving communication challenges.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Active listening skills and able to adapt content and channels to the appropriate stakeholders and audiences.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Communications Specialist is a key member of the Corporate Communications Team, responsible for effectively communicating company goals and priorities to 1,200 employees in a variety of locations and time zones.
This role involves writing and posting content, managing communication channels, and responding to employee inquiries, all aimed at driving results, empowering employees, and enhancing engagement within the organization. We’re looking for someone curious, creative, analytical, and adaptable, who understands channel and community management and is excited about the opportunity to enable employees to feel informed and connected to our vision. The Communications Specialist will use insights and data to inform your approach, seek to understand what’s important to stakeholders, and keep updated on industry trends and best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Developing, editing, and posting articles on internal communication platforms, including SharePoint and Viva Engage.
  • Managing and monitoring the Communications Inbox, troubleshooting issues, and prioritizing competing needs.
  • Designing slides for digital boards, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Developing, editing, and sending weekly communications recap emails
  • Assisting in the creation and management of content calendars and channel frameworks.
  • Ensuring adherence to corporate brand guidelines and maintaining consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
  • Utilizing SharePoint and other Microsoft tools to manage and organize communication materials and resources.
  • Supporting individual content creators across the business to deliver information.
  • Supporting executive communication needs, as required.
  • Informing employees about company goals, priorities, and results by ensuring relevant, reliable, and digestible communications advance corporate strategy.
  • Supporting a modern digital workplace by leveraging Microsoft tools to enable employees to easily access and share information, collaborate effectively, and build a strong company culture, regardless of time zone or location.
  • Maintaining brand consistency and being custodians of the brand with internal audiences, ensuring employees have the tools, resources, and policies required to maintain brand consistency.
  • Support and curate social media content to enhance our internal and external communication efforts, ensuring alignment with company goals, values and brand.
