Description:

Company Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic content writer to join us as a Senior Community Content Curator with our InYourArea team. InYourArea is a hyperlocal news site, we aggregate news from other sites as well as produce our own native content to provide our readers with useful, local updates and stories.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support ongoing editorial projects across all publishing platforms by researching, curating, sourcing, writing, organising, formatting and uploading content. You will actively engage with members of the InYourArea community, readers and our newsrooms to generate stories and other content.
You’ll work with readers and editors to generate stories and other content with a focus on testing new AI publishing tools and secure audience platforms such as newsletters.
We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important for our many communities, so we can continue to diversify our content.

THIS ROLE IS HOME BASED AND WE ARE THEREFORE OPEN TO CANDIDATES BASED ACROSS THE UK.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?

You will search for and rework existing content from across the Reach network that resonates with the IYA audience, as well as turn User Generated Content (UGC) into stories and support our diversification of content plans. From testing and using safe AI processes and writing engaging newsletters, to working on new platforms such as InYourPocket to support affiliate content and editorial revenue.
You will use social media, customer and analytics tools to research, curate and create content for specific projects as directed. You will provide editorial support in the form of photo sourcing, assisting with editorial promotions like competition entries and cost of living/money saving opportunities. You will establish, maintain and develop excellent relationships with content suppliers within the IYA communities and become a voice for your team. This is a full time role, typically Monday to Friday with occasional weekend/bank holiday shifts as needed, so a flexible approach is required.
