Job Description
About the Project & Opportunity:
Acciona has been awarded the Design & Construct contract for the Singleton Bypass. This major project will see construction of 8km of single lane highway with 6 bridge structures and upgrades to local intersections. This diverse and challenging project has a 2.5-year program ensuring longevity in your role and presenting opportunities to grow within the business.
As a result, we’re currently recruiting a full-time, permanent Community Coordinator. This role will see you act as point of contact and liaison with the community stakeholders, client and principal contractors and assist with public communications. You will be supporting and reporting into the Community Manager.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

  • Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external shareholders on all project matters
  • Prepare community notifications for client acceptance
  • Interface with all key stakeholders to inform them of upcoming work activities
  • Present a professional and ethical image to the client, subcontractors, consultants and project team
  • Ensure all corporate and project personnel are coordinating their activities with other disciplines/sub-contractors
  • Coordinate activities and prepare project status reports

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel & Outlook
  • The ability and flexibility to work efficiently and proactively with limited supervision
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the desire and ability to work cooperatively as a team member
