POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. As a key member of the Philanthropy and Marketing team, the Community Engagement Manager plays a vital role in managing donor and volunteer relationships for the Saskatoon Family YMCA. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, Marketing & Communications, this position oversees the entire giving cycle—from recruitment to stewardship—and helps execute fundraising initiatives. The role also involves database management, corporate sponsorship recognition tracking, and effective communication with donors and volunteers to further the YMCA’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (strong asset).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a charitable organization.
  • Knowledge of donor and email management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Experience managing volunteers; Volunteer engagement training is an asset.
  • Ability to incorporate and follow the organization’s strategic direction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Highly organized team player with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Quick learner with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Current Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities:

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in organizational meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Support grant applications and collaborate on special projects as needed.
  • Assist with Major Gift Announcements.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines for corporate donors, sponsors, and grant funders.
  • Track Major Donor and Sponsor Recognition (e.g., website, social media, event invites).
  • Research grant opportunities as assigned.
