Community Engagement Specialist/Liaison

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Business or a Health related field.
• Valid Drivers license and good driving record
• Two or more years of health care related industry sales/marketing experience
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word.
• Willingness to learn Medicare regulations and related reimbursement structures for hospice and other home based services.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the Hospice and Palliative Care philosophy of care, values, mission and organizational culture.

This position serves as a liaison to healthcare professionals in hospitals, home health agencies residential facilities, community partners, physicians, payers and patients/families and all other referral sources through regular contacts, interaction and distribution of educational material, in-services, conferences, and other marketing activities. Creates and maintains a favorable public image for Harbor Hospice and raises community awareness regarding. The mission and value of services and programs for hospice, palliative care and grief support. This position plans and coordinates marketing and community education initiatives, speaking opportunities along with assigning responsibility to team members as deemed appropriate.
