About the Role:
Due to a recent promotion we have an exciting permanent, full time, opportunity for a Community Fundraising Specialist to join our team with hybrid working arrangements.
In this unique opportunity to work with local communities you will develop and implement a national community fundraising strategy to increase awareness and reach new audiences through year round campaigns and community fundraising activities including Christmas, In Memoriam, Celebration, Disasters, Sporting Events etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Community Fundraising Strategy: Manage and lead the Community Fundraising strategy towards raising unrestricted funds and awareness through annual campaigns and all year-round fundraising activities.
  • Campaign Management: Develop, build and implement national Community Fundraising campaigns and activities aligned with our strategic plan on time, within budget and fundraising regulations. These spread across online and physical fundraising activities.
  • Plan Supporter Journeys: Develop and implement best-practice supporter journeys.
  • Relationship Management: Build key relationships with internal fundraising and wider Salvos teams and external supporters and stakeholders.
  • Opportunity Mapping: Identify key fundraising opportunities by staying up to date with industry trends.
  • Process Mapping and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to building and refining processes, measures and capabilities to implement and measure fundraising activities.
  • Maintain Platforms: Utilise, maintain and develop online platforms and resources.
  • Collateral and Resource Management: Ensure campaign collateral and resource toolkits are available to community fundraisers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Ongoing campaign and activity analysis for optimisation and reporting.

About you:

  • Three to five years fundraising experience (desirable)
  • Exposure to community engagement & communications as well as digital marketing practices
  • Ability to manage high-level relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in the use of fundraising platforms and excellent IT knowledge, familiar with CRM’s, Mailing platforms, Microsoft suite or similar
  • Sound organisational skills and a willingness to improve efficient and effective ways to conduct community fundraising and events
  • Skilled at analysing data to find actionable insights for future campaigns and events
  • Flexibility to occasionally work out of hours (with relevant time off in lieu)
