Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Seequent Community is a place for customers to come together, discuss, share, and inspire. Since launch, we’ve seen the community grow into a key program to support customers in getting the most out of their products by connecting them with learning, support, insights, and ideas.
The Community Marketing Specialist is accountable to support the development in growing the Seequent Community, foster meaningful interactions, and create value for both customers and the business. The role will collaborate with many teams around the organisation to make the Community a destination of true value for our customers and monitor and moderate the Community to ensure a safe and respectful environment that aligns with our brand values and guidelines.
This role sits in our Customer Marketing team, a team that drives engagement, retention, and loyalty by putting customers at the heart of everything we do. This role will emphasize customer advocacy and possess a with a strong understanding of B2B SaaS, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Managing, moderating, and creating content for the online Seequent Community platform
  • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies, campaigns, and events to increase customer loyalty, retention, and advocacy
  • Monitoring and analysing community feedback to improve the community or to share with relevant stakeholders (e.g. engineering or procurement)
  • Collaborating with internal teams to curate and promote content, as well as communicate customer insights, feedback, and suggestions
  • Recommending and supporting the development of community guidelines, policies, and best practices to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all Community members
  • Providing timely and friendly support to Community members, resolving issues, answering questions, and escalating complex cases as needed

IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Demonstrable experience in community management, customer success, or related roles within a B2B SaaS environment
  • An understanding of B2B buyer personas and customer journeys
  • Previous experience with Vanilla Forum (or equivalent), Marketo, GoTo Webinar, and Splash an asset
  • Skills in developing engaging and valuable content for community members, such as blog posts, webinars, newsletters, and discussion prompts
  • The ability to gather insights and make data-driven decisions to improve community strategy
  • Experience in handling community issues and conflicts, including negative feedback and crisis situations, with diplomacy and tact
  • Experience in organising and managing events, both virtual (webinars, live chats) and in-person (user group meetings, conferences) is an asset
