Responsibilities:
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
At Epsom and St Helier we pride ourselves in offering flexible working arrangements, a robust in service training package and a positive working culture. Our Community midwives provide an excellent standard of midwifery care in the community setting. They will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of midwifery care and will supervise other midwives, preceptors, maternity assistants and students as necessary.
Role will include:
- Assessing, planning and implementing care plans in partnership with women and their families and the wider healthcare team.
- Monitoring and evaluating plan of care, escalate any deviations from the norm to the MDT
- Providing care in antenatal and postnatal clinics in the community
- Providing home visits to families
- Running clinics from the hospital
- Within limitations of service, strive for continuity and promote informed client choice
- Work as part of the second-on-call rota to support our experienced homebirth team
We are seeking experienced midwives with a great team ethic. A car driver would be ideal, who brings a flexible approach to work.
