Kemper is seeking a full-time temporary Community Outreach Specialist. The role works with our Direct Sales group to expand brand awareness and drive development by executing outreach strategies. Create proposals and work the project from beginning to completion. This is a temporary position lasting up to 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify community organizations, financial institutions, chambers of commerce, trade associations, and other relevant organizations for potential collaboration.
- Initiate contact with targeted organizations through email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align community outreach efforts with business goals.
- Support sales and marketing efforts by creating and maintaining knowledge bases.
- Track relevant community information for use by the team.
Qualifications
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations via email and phone (both for-profit or non-profit)
- Familiar with entering data into spreadsheets or online systems to maintain databases and contact information
- Requires excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Must have project management experience
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency with various computer software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Bachelors degree preferred
- This is a remote position, working from a home location in Illinois or Arizona.
- Some travel, 2-3 times per quarter.
The range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors.
