Description:

This position is responsible for expanding Champions for Children’s impact by building and nurturing relationships with community partners, corporations, and volunteers. The Community Partnership Associate will play a critical role in driving fundraising efforts, including in-kind support and corporate sponsorships, while also supporting special events to elevate CFC’s profile as a leading advocate for children and families in Tampa Bay. This role requires a dynamic and proactive individual with strong communication and organizational skills, along with a passion for community engagement and development. This position reports to the Director of Development.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree in business/nonprofit management, communications, marketing, social work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in development, fundraising, or a similar role; experience in nonprofit or community-focused work is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with corporate partners, volunteers, and community organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive messages for various audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and fundraising software; experience with Canva is a plus.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary; reliable transportation throughout Tampa Bay is required.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, kneel, bend, reach, and move materials up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 20 pounds infrequently.
  • Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic diversity of the population served by Champions for Children.
  • Must have a reliable car, active auto insurance, and a valid Florida driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening.
