ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services is a community based, charitable, Not-For-Profit health organization providing supportive care to families in Huron and Perth Counties as well as the surrounding area.

SUMMARY:

To provide coordination and implementation of programs and activities relating to exercise, wellness, health and lifestyle education for ONE CARE clients. This may include leading training sessions for members, teaching proper exercise techniques, principles, and procedures, leading wellness, health and education programs. It may also include provision of health and wellness programs for ONE CARE staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree /college diploma in health/social science, recreation.
  • 1-3 years of working experience and background in fitness, exercise physiology working knowledge of exercise equipment with a strong interest in health and fitness is preferred.
  • Certification as Seniors Fitness Instructor, or equivalent.
  • Physical ability to lead the exercises.
  • Maintain certification and training standards.
  • Working knowledge of office systems, computers and software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in community work and working with volunteers.
  • Demonstrated experience in program planning and implementation.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, ability to think strategically, access situations, set priorities and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, typing and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and use of vehicle.
  • Current CPR and First Aid.
