HE ANGITŪTANGA: THE OPPORTUNITY
Sitting within Parks & Community Facilities Specialist Operations, and reporting to the Volunteering and Programmes Team Manager, this is a great secondment opportunity within the team who lead ecological and conservation education and activation programmes on Local Parks. Through place-based initiatives in community parks, the Programme Rangers catalyse, build capability and broker opportunities for community connection to nature.
The team is looking for someone who is passionate about protecting New Zealand’s natural environment and who loves working with volunteers, community groups, schools, and mana whenua.
You’ll be developing and delivering ecological and conservation education and activation programmes, engaging delivery contractors, promoting events, working closely with Community Park Rangers, and interacting with a wide range of age groups and cultures in the community.
