Community Programmer (1.0 EFT)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Programmer will work with a team to develop, implement and
facilitate programs that best meet the needs of the community. Key
responsibilities include enhancing access to programming, conducting
outreach, organizing events, and supporting program delivery. The position will
use a community development approach to program development and
delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field required.
• Knowledge of community development and planning experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Empathetic, non-judgemental approach.
• Experience at Family Resource Centres as asset.
• Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings
• Knowledge and experience with diverse cultures and economic

backgrounds.

• Ability to work well in a community setting.
• Experience working with health equity initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience with design, development and implementation

of programs

• Experience with communications and outreach
• 1-2 years program facilitation experience.
• Evenings and weekends required
• Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license required
• Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Records Check required
