Community & Residential Living Floater (Temporary Part-Time: 30 hrs weekly)

Penticton and District Society for Community Living (PDSCL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with diverse abilities in Penticton and surrounding communities. We provide support and services for people with intellectual disabilities, seniors, low-income adults, families, and persons facing homelessness.
PDSCL is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Community Living and Residential Float Worker for 30 hrs per week.
This is a floater position reporting to the appropriate Coordinator, the candidate will work shifts in various areas to cover sick leave, vacation request and/or other staffing concerns, so staff must be flexible for all shifts and work placement. The position is responsible for effectively supporting persons with disabilities. The Candidate will assist residents in daily activities, including personal care, medication administration, and service planning.
*A floater position will be assigned a specific number of hours but will have a variable schedule working between inclusion and outreach programs, residential living and youth programming.
The Floater candidate will pick up shifts from four positions, they are:

OTHER EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid CPR/First Aid,
• Satisfactory criminal record check-working with vulnerable adults,
• FoodsafeCertificate,
• Class 4 unrestricted license or willing to obtain
• Negative TB Skin Test,
• Medical clearance,
• code of ethics and confidentiality form
  Benefits: Positions of 20 hours or more per week as per current collective agreement.

  Pay: $24.84-$25.91 per hour
  Expected hours: 30 per week

• This position requires clearance from the Ministry of Justice for a Criminal Record Check for working with Vulnerable Adults and Children. You will be required to provide this. Failure to have the Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Children and Adults or delay in providing this clearance as part of the screening will result in delays or rejection of your application.
