This rewarding, fixed term role will see you helping people to take responsibility for their own fire safety and their own survival strategies.You will be joining a supportive, tight knit team where you will provide advise to community groups and organisations on the provision of information and support services available. You will be involved in the delivery of CFA programs including Fire Ready Victoria, Bushfire Planning workshops, Home Fire Safety workshops and other community safety initiatives. Some after hours and weekend work will be required.Further detailed responsibilities can be found in the position description.ABOUT YOUA requirement of this role is to hold a relevant tertiary qualification in community education/development or environmental management or equivalent industry experience in developing/delivering programs, working with local communities, clubs and organisations.The person we are seeking will have well developed communication and presentation skills with experience planning, leading and facilitating groups and meetings. Along with this, you will demonstrate empathy and understanding of community issues and the ability to work independently when required. An understanding of bushfire behaviour, CFA community safety messages and local environmental issues, will be highly regarded.This role will suit someone keen to secure an interesting role with a broad scope dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders across CFA.
