Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

Under the direction of the Events and Programs Manager, the Community Services Representative (Softball Event Ambassador) will monitor the Ladera Ranch softball leagues and provide participants with a quality program experience.
Compensation: $19 - $20 an hour

FIRSTSERVICE RESIDENTIAL WILL COMPENSATE THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POSTED RANGE. THE SALARY OR WAGE PAID TO THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES. FOR POSITIONS DESIGNATED AT A CLIENT’S PROPERTY, THE SALARY OR WAGE WILL ALSO BE PREMISED UPON THE CLIENT’S DIRECTIVE. THE BASE PAY RANGE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND MAY BE MODIFIED IN THE FUTURE.

Hours: Tuesday and Thursday
(6:00PM - 10:30PM)

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional customer service skills are required.
  • The ability to work efficiently, diligently, and independently without constant direct supervision is required.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and verbalize reports, both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be respectful and friendly to our participants, guests, visitors, spectators, and fellow associates.
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others.
  • Respond to emergency situations in a rational and decisive manner, using tact, self-restraint and good judgement

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge and experience in sports and recreation is preferred.
  • Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Attending college or university is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or other language is helpful but not required
  • Must have excellent reasoning abilities to resolve concerns, answer questions, and resolve conflicts quickly and independently

The work environment characteristics include normal office conditions and outdoor facilities with possible exposure to sun, heat, and cold.
This is a part-time position, not to exceed 30 hours. This position is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings, 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. as well as additional hours on weekends to support sponsored community events when needed. Consistent and regular attendance required.

Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Check rosters and player’s identification.
  • Ensure correct equipment is available for games and proper set-up of all play areas.
  • Ensure games start on time and scored accurately.
  • Assist in league coordination.
  • Provide courteous and friendly services to all participants, guests and staff.
  • Know and enforce the league and facility’s policies, procedures and rules to assure safety and welfare of participants.
  • Identify facility needs, maintenance and safety issues and report immediately to supervisor.
  • May mediate and resolve conflict or complaints to address customer needs.
  • Prepares accident and incident reports.
  • Be visible and accessible for residents, guests, and facility users who have questions.
  • Assists LARCS with sponsored community events.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
