Description:
To work in multidisciplinary community setting as part of a dynamic team and support therapists in delivering high quality therapy interventions to the patient.
Please be aware that a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle that can be used for work purposes are required for this role.
To assist with delivering of therapy through home exercise programs and education.
To communicate with therapist regrading patient progress and support patient’s functional recovery.
To support service with ordering , maintaining stock and equipment.
To use excellent communication skills to ensure clinical advice and treatment programmes are delivered sensitively.

We offer
Full induction on commencement of the role. Supervision from senior physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist. Setting individual objectives through appraisals and competencies will be provided. All generic therapy assistants benefit from regular supervision sessions which are fortnightly to start. Given equal opportunities to undertake a variety of Continuing Professional development (CPD) and Band 3 competencies to develop and support you in your role.
EDUCATION/LEARNING
To contribute to the delivery of formal and informal training to patients and carers.
To assist in the preparation of training materials and organisation of group sessions as required.
Take responsibility for own learning and development by recognising and taking advantage of all opportunities to learn, including full participation in KSF/appraisal, supervision, action learning and by maintaining a professional/personal portfolio of learning.
