Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Company Secretary and Head of Governance and Risk Strategy provides leadership on all Company Secretariat and Corporate Governance activities and advice for MLC Life Insurance and leads the development of Risk Strategy, risk governance and insights across the organisation.
Acting as a trusted advisor to the Chairman, Board and Executive, you’ll manage the skilled Secretariat team to ensure Board and Committee processes are run efficiently and effectively.
You will provide high quality advice on Board Governance matters whilst working to continuously improve Board and Committee practices. You will also be responsible for risk governance and strategy, including FAR Governance, and risk reporting at an enterprise level.
As a respected member of the Risk, Governance and Legal Leadership team, you will act as a conduit between the business and the Board, fostering an environment of clarity and collaboration.
You will strive to achieve a healthy balance of compliance and performance, maintaining and developing appropriate Governance frameworks and advising on relevant Compliance obligations.
Importantly, you will have the opportunity to lead and coach a small but skilled team whilst having a significant impact on a rapidly transforming organisation within a business-critical function.
