Title
Compensation Analyst
The Compensation Analyst supports the administration, communication, development and implementation of compensation programs at Bronson. The position is highly visible requiring advanced interpersonal and communication skills, as well as project and database management skills; customers include all levels of management and employees. Maintains and updates data and provides analysis and interpretation of such to customers. Provides high-level support for the day-to-day requests received by the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to general questions regarding compensation processes and practices.
  • Completes analysis to make compensation recommendations, including ensuring competitiveness and equity of offers.
  • Develops and maintains spreadsheets to compile, track and analyze data.
  • Completes job evaluations and market-pricing utilizing compensation management system.
  • Maintains job descriptions. Assists with creating and/or updating and setting up in HRIS.
  • Completes salary surveys and maintains updated data in the compensation management system.
  • Assists with analysis and modeling to support various compensation related projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 6-12 months of on-the-job experience to develop a working knowledge of organizational and department policies and procedures required.
  • Experience in human resources, compensation and/or benefits administration preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications is required (such as Word, Power-Point, Excel).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and/or compensation management systems preferred.
  • Must have analytical ability necessary to prepare and verify cost data; monitor utilization, costs and effectiveness of programs and prepare analyses and input to recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to demonstrate the appropriate application of knowledge and skills to resolve routine to semi-complex personal, technical or administrative problems required.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively in verbal and written form to customers who request information or require assistance, and present programs as necessary. Contacts may involve potentially difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.
  • The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
