Purpose:
The Compensation Analyst will provide support to all Veren compensation and HR reporting activities. This position requires an individual who can handle confidential material in a professional manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administering employee compensation programs, including short and long-term incentive programs
  • Assist in compensation market research
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle, including administration through Workday
  • Participation in annual and ad hoc compensation surveys, including job matching, analysis, reporting and recommendations
  • Complete compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting, and related monthly analysis and reporting for HR
  • Assist in preparation of compensation related communication and presentation materials
  • Assist with the annual management information circular process
  • Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the HR team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Post-secondary education with a designation in Human Resources, Accounting or relevant field is required
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is considered an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of compensation experience is required
  • Oil and gas industry experience is an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required
  • HRIS experience with Workday is an asset
  • Working experience in Shareworks, Workiva and PowerBI is considered an asset
  • Thrives in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment and producing high-profile work
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to prioritize, dependable and strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player who shows initiative and enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
