DESCRIPTION

Gartner’s Compensation Team is responsible for developing and maintaining compensation plans and investments enhance our ability to attract, retain, and motivate more than our fair share of top talent to compel individual, team, and company performance that exceeds our operating plan in a cost-effective manner.
To achieve this, we conduct ongoing compensation analyses and modelling, analyze pay and performance, and complete competitive external pay benchmarking studies. We consult and collaborate with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to understand how their teams and roles are structured. We also lead Gartner’s annual bonus and merit planning process, aligning our approach with our compensation philosophy.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Evaluate and benchmark jobs using external data sources; Consult with Comp Partners on findings and share results back to HR Partners
  • Review market trends for key jobs/career paths; Collaborate with team to present findings and recommendations back to HR Partners
  • Conduct ongoing compensation modeling and analysis, including pay and performance analytics, Share results with Comp Partners and HR Partners
  • Develop and maintain resources for HR Partners to access key compensation resources, including a job evaluation library and other guidelines
  • Serve as an advocate of compensation philosophy and educate HR Partners on how to carry that forward with the business units they support
  • Support the annual merit, bonus, and equity allocation processes
  • Help lead the design, build, and management of our compensation planning system, including training users, developing user guides, and serving as a knowledge expert (with time)
  • Help define and build our leadership analysis tools and dashboards
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve our tools and streamline processes to increase efficiency of compensation planning efforts and analytics

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of relevant compensation, HR, or HR analytics experience
  • Previous experience in a consultative compensation role preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. ability to create complex dynamic formulas, charts, and dashboards)
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability and interest in learning a new software
  • Ability to maintain discretion with extremely confidential information
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships HR Partners and management
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills

    Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 62,400 USD - 86,940 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
