Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, and Seabourn offer world-renown vacations at sea to travelers around the globe. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, unified organization as part of their highly experienced team in our corporate office.
We’re looking for an experienced Compensation Professional to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for supporting the administration and analysis of the organization’s compensation programs. Contribute to compensation and analytical activities including the design, development, modelling and costing of base pay programs to evaluate internal equity, external market competitiveness and legal compliance of pay practices. Monitor all Federal, State and local regulatory requirements and maintain tracking files.

REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred
- Two years previous experience with compensation function at a global company.
- Experience utilizing compensation theory, principles and practices to perform independent analysis of compensation programs
- Professional certification in specialty area or course work through the World at Work professional association is preferred
- Experience in the hospitality or cruise industry a plus
- Experience with compensation research and salary analyses
- Experience explaining technical analysis and results in an understandable way to client groups and management
- Compensation knowledge, including state and federal wage and hour laws
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to research and analyze various types of data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and facilitation skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand management principles sufficiently to soundly advise line management in compensation matters
- Well organized, detail-oriented and confident to work independently while performing as a strong team player
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to employee information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Formatting. Experience with HRIS databases and the ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems

Responsibilities:
- Carry out analytical assignments involving the analysis and administration of shoreside compensation programs.
- Analyze and evaluate new and existing positions to assess level, grade placement and pay range. Utilize internal and external data to formulate recommendations when working with HR Business Partners. Provide support to client groups in facilitating changes related to department reorganizations.
- Analyze new and existing roles for appropriate exempt or non-exempt FLSA classification; maintain compliance with internal practices and external regulatory requirements. Track changes to minimum wage and salary exempt thresholds, analyze cost impact of increases and provide recommendations based on review of data. Assist HR Business Partners to implement required changes.
- Participate in salary surveys and analyze survey data to determine competitiveness of compensation programs. This may require data mining for hard to benchmark jobs followed by data collection, analysis and feedback on results.
- Keep abreast of trends regarding compensation issues and legislative or regulatory updates. Assess trends to determine applicability to existing and/or new policies, practices and programs.
- Support compensation projects such as merit process, EEO and SOC updates, incentive payout and other projects.
- Monitor the Shoreside Compensation mailbox and respond to questions. Engage HR Business Partners or Compensation Consultants when needed.
