Description:

Applies, interprets, and consults on compensation and benefits programs at Vanguard and carries out total rewards processes and policies as directed.
The Compensation and Benefits Consultant will be a key member of the Europe Total Rewards team, with responsibilities spanning Compensation and Benefits activity. This is an exciting opportunity that will drive efficiencies, build effective processes and controls whilst also enhancing the crew experience.

Responsibilities:

Benefits

  • Responsible for Benefits vendors performance management, tracking KPIs and SLAs, formulating recommendations and actions with Procurement, Legal and HR. Identifies opportunities for cost saving and vendor consolidation.
  • Owner of all internal ongoing vendor governance and risk related activity and assessment for data security, cyber security, risk, etc., ensuring appropriate controls are in place to support compliance with Vanguard standards.
  • Lead in the development, review and implementation of Benefits policies across all European countries. Ensuring continued and timely implementation of regulatory and statutory changes.
  • Will support activity on enhancing value for money on all European benefits services and products, driving best practice and industry standards.

Compensation

  • Delivery of ad-hoc and cyclical compensation processes, such as benchmarking and the annual bonus and merit adjustment process. Will own market competitive benchmarking for defined business area and its application to compensation practices and strategies working closely with the Enterprise and Global Reward teams.
  • Support on the identification of Material Risk Takers and Code Staff and maintenance of the list for European regulated entities, liaising with key partners in HR, Compliance and Legal to effectively manage the process.
  • Will contribute to the regulatory reporting and mandatory compliance reporting including disclosures, gender pay gap, etc.

Projects

  • Lead the research and planning for Compensation and Benefits enhancements projects, developing project plans, that have clear roles and responsibilities and that ensure planned and continuous effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead on all activity that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging the existing global structures, teams and resources for example usage of Workday or automation tools.
