Description:
The CB-A supports the employee compensation and benefits/leave programs, which enables Citizen Advocates to attract and retain talent as well as reward and recognize our workforce.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree in human resources or related field preferred
- At least one year working in compensation, benefits and leaves preferred
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (JOB DUTIES)
- Prepares and maintains records related to employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans
- Tracks and maintains employee savings plans that may include the companys 401(k) plan, and deferred compensation programs
- Tracks and maintains employee voluntary plans
- Tracks and maintains employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers
- Processes employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefit providers
- Supports the organizations and plans compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA
- Tracks and maintains leave administration documents from the employees initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA, PFL, Workers Compensation, etc., requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use
- Tracks and maintains other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws.
- Ensures proper completion of records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and
provider rules, regulations, and policies
- Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files
- Maintains knowledge of applicable compensation, benefits, leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws and industry trends
- Maintains and generates payroll for employees.
- Processes quarterly payroll invoices are submitted to the IRS
- Completes and submits payments are completed for NYS Disability, Paid Family Leave, and other payments as required
- Processes labor allocations and reallocations are completed as needed
- Completes employment verifications are completed as needed
- Maintains compensation and benefits files in an orderly manner
