Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing all company-wide compensation and benefit functions including wage and salary administration, incentives, medical/life/disability insurance, pension plans, payroll and HRIS systems.

  • Determines all domestic or international wage and increase schedules. Administers all wage and salary functions on a company-wide basis including job descriptions, job evaluations, market surveys, and wage schedules.
  • Manages company-wide pension, retirement and insurance plans. Manages pension trust to ensure plan assets are accurately accounted. Manages all insurance contract renewals developing plan coverage that is competitive and cost effective. Ensures all plans meet IRS/ERISA requirements.
  • Administers all company-wide incentive programs including Tropical Shipping Incentives, Port and Regional Managers annual incentives, and any incentives which are country specific (those required by law).
  • Manages the development and administration of the company flexible spending plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory tax laws.
  • Manages and completes Human Resources research projects relative to wage and salary or benefits in new or existing international or domestic markets.
  • Directs company-wide payroll processing ensuring accurate and timely payment to all employees as well as the filing and payment of required payroll taxes.
  • Functions as Compensation Project Lead in the implementation and management of the HRIS. Ensures all compensation and payroll applications are fully implemented and system utilization is optimized. Ensures the timely and accurate testing of periodic system updates.
  • Designs, and manage all performance management developmental activities.
  • Manages the development and administration of company financial assistance programs.
  • Develops, updates policies and procedures relative to wage, payroll, benefits and salary based topics.
  • Performs all other duties as requested.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or in a related field
EXPERIENCE: Over 7 years in Human Resources Management experience
LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License and Valid Passport
TRAVEL: 10% to other Tropical location
