Description:

Total Rewards is seeking a Compensation Consultant to join their team. In this role, you will independently provide compensation consultation to your assigned divisions to influence pay decisions aligned with Vanguard’s pay for performance philosophy. You will enable compensation pay strategies, while focusing on core offers including year-end compensation planning, benchmarking, pay analyses and offer development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Six years of related experience is preferred with demonstrated experience in a consultative capacity.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Advanced analytics excel capabilities is a must.
  • Ability to summarize complex concepts with clear and succinct writing and/or data visualization.
  • Adaptability to navigate ambiguous problems and drive toward recommended solutions in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and frequent collaboration to execute flawlessly.
  • Progress toward CCP preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a lead compensation expert to advise divisional senior management on aligning the pay programs, policies and procedures with organizational goals. Implements creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and regulations compliance, recommending timely revisions when needed, and keeping senior managers informed of any updated policies.
  • Oversees the data within the HRIS to ensure the accuracy of compensation information including merit and incentive calculations, approvals for award payments, and payment records.
  • Manages job evaluations, salary surveys, and all analytical reporting to prepare recommendations and determine pay strategies and implementation based on findings. Owns market competitive benchmarking for defined business area and its application to compensation practices and strategies.
  • Coaches and contributes to the development of compensation analysts and consultants.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
