JOB DESCRIPTION

Compensation Analytics is a centralized team responsible for reporting, process improvement and automation, and analyzing data to provide key insights to senior leadership. This role will focus on end-to-end development and delivery of compensation reporting and solutions to users across the HR organization. The end-to-end process includes gathering business requirements across all lines of business, driving Firmwide consistency while meeting client needs, and finally implementing for users.
As a Compensation Data Solutions - Vice President within the Compensation Analytics team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the function’s reporting and analytics capabilities through design, development and delivery of key compensation reports and solutions for users within the HR organization. You will take business problems and solve through automation and analytics, drive firmwide consistency and scale best practices, collaborate and learn from internal subject matter experts, and partner with relevant parties across the firm.
You are strong in quantitative skills and reporting tools, but also possess curiosity to learn many nuances of our compensation program. You will be a valuable contributor and collaborator to our intellectual capital – accumulate institutional knowledge about multiple lines of businesses, explore and develop suite of advanced reporting tools, and automate manual processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and data / information management skills with a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications: Advanced understanding of Excel is required
  • Self-initiator, ability to challenge status quo and think outside of the box
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Detail and results oriented with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities all within a fast paced team environment
  • Relevant experience in data & analytics topics in consulting, client engagement, or project execution
  • Innovation and creativity to bring new ideas to team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years of Compensation or Finance experience
  • Hands-on experience in at least two of the following:
  • Statistical software or coding languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS)
  • Data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
  • Statistical or quantitative analysis (e.g., multiple regression, multivariate analysis, network analysis, AI-ML concepts and techniques)
  • Advanced excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Analysis ToolPak, macros/VBA)
  • Data wrangling, workflows, and automation (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Relevant experience in data & analytics topics in consulting, client engagement, or project execution
  • Familiarity with cloud computing approaches, such as AWS, Azure, etc

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ad-hoc analytics and presentations to support senior management in making strategic key business decisions around comp differentiation, talent retention, and potential gaps
  • Capture and translate business requirements, translate into customized analytical solutions, communicate insights via reports, dashboards, visualization etc.
  • Simplify, standardize, and automate processes by creating and deploying workflows for repeatable, scalable, and automated solutions
  • Manage multiple projects end to end – maintain project plans, update and influence key stakeholders, and implement change management strategies
  • Collaboate across various functions and teams including compensation managers, HR partners, Workforce Analytics, product, technology, and control functions
  • Attention to detail, rigor, and robustness in data analytics and results. Ability to articulate complex issues in easy to understand ways
  • Adherence to various control functions and regulatory requirements while handling workforce and compensation data
