We are currently looking for a passionate and dynamic Competency Officer to join our team in Riyadh.
The Competency Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of our workforce by developing and implementing competency frameworks. This position involves working closely with various departments to identify skill gaps, formulate development plans, and ensure that our employees are equipped with the necessary competencies to meet business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in competency assessment, talent development, or HR-related roles.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of competency models, performance management processes, and employee development practices.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR management systems and tools for assessing competencies and managing training programs.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex competency needs.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate competency frameworks and assessment results effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Competency Framework Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve competency frameworks tailored to the organization’s needs.
- Gap Analysis: Identify skill gaps through assessments and performance evaluations, formulating comprehensive development plans.
- Training Coordination: Collaborate with training and development teams to create and facilitate programs that address identified competency gaps.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer competency assessments to monitor employee progress and effectiveness of training programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with department heads and managers to ensure alignment of competency initiatives with organizational goals.
- Reporting: Generate reports and presentations on competency assessments, training effectiveness, and progress against development plans.
