Description:
Role within Complementary Therapy Provide hands-on complementary therapies Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual programmes of therapy liaising alongside the patient, their representatives, clinical team members and other professionals. Share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal conversations Ensure that all treatments are carried out in line with Trust policies Address issues of quality, training, audit, research and development in complementary therapies and to co-ordinate the introduction of other therapies. Qualifications and Skills Professionally qualified in a range of complementary therapies with a significant post registration experience. Relevant qualifications such as VCTC, ITEC or City and Guilds or equivalent.
Holds a professional practitioner indemnity insurance. Can provide evidence of continual professional development. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally. Requires an adaptable and flexible approach to meet with the needs of the service.
Has an understanding of the principles of palliative care. Able to participate in the development of complementary therapies
