Description:

Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries is a not-for-profit organization that has been caring for families in the GTA since 1826. We operate ten cemeteries, nine funeral centres and four cremation centres, all serving the distinct needs of the local communities where they are located. We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our team at our head office in East York.
The Compliance Analyst will be responsible ensuring that MPG adheres to the relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They will also be responsible for creating a compliance framework across the entire organization, and ensuring ongoing compliance against that framework.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree / Diploma in Business, Law or other related disciplines; or equivalent combination of work experience, training and education
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a compliance role
  • Previous experience designing and developing corporate frameworks
  • Certifications such as RIMS CRM, or GRCP are an asset
  • Experience in the funeral and/or cemetery industry is an asset
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an asset
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation such as the Employment Standards Act, PIPEDA, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Funeral Burial & Cremations Services Act is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with various departments
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and discretion
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and deadlines
  • Intermediate proficiency of Windows and MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
