JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of professional administrative tasks in support of the organization’s compliance function.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or 2 to 4 years of experience
  • Possesses foundational to intermediate knowledge of the subject matter

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department as required.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, collects, and maintains compliance-related data, records and standard operating procedures
  • Identifies gaps in documentation or potential areas of non-compliance, suggests resolutions, and/or implements timely corrective action to ensure accuracy and legal compliance
  • Documents and tracks activities to ensure compliance by establishing key performance indicators, assisting operations teams in developing effective solutions, and monitoring pending legislative and regulatory changes
  • Creates and enforces facility operating standards for safety, inventory control, and cannabis compliance, leading all inventory audits and conducting compliance training for employees
  • Maintains a centralized repository of necessary documents for regulatory compliance and tracks, researches, and submits permits, licenses, and renewals to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter, excelling as the on-site compliance leader and subject matter expert on state cannabis regulations. Researches and provides guidance on city, county, and state cannabis requirements
  • Performs work under general supervision
  • Responds to standard requests for documentation or records based on established guidelines; refers more complex or confidential inquiries to management.
  • Communicate with regulatory authorities to answer inquiries or request information
  • Collaborates with the compliance director and legal counsel on license applications and renewals
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
