Responsibilities:

As a Compliance and Assurance Manager you will work closely with our key stakeholders to meet the highest governance and quality standards by managing our Policy Framework, leading clinical governance across all services, developing quality and compliance strategies and ensuring compliance with care system quality standards and auditing practices. The key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating incidents, assisting our homes in completing open disclosure process along with investigating and responding to external and internal complaints
  • Investigating serious incidents and recommending actions to rectify and mitigate recurrence of incidents
  • Managing internal and external reviews and audits and lead the implementation of audit recommendations and actions
  • Guiding the process of clinical practice improvement to ensure all services are delivered consistently and to a high standard
  • Informing best practice in clinical service delivery and consultancy strategy to support the organisation in maintaining market-leading standards in service delivery
  • Ensuring person centred values being upheld and Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards being met and care services are compliant with aged care standards and legislation
  • All facilities pass accreditation
  • Supporting the wider Quality and Compliance Team in leading clinical governance across the organisation and support Facility Managers to ensure all services meet governance requirements so that clients receive the appropriate level of care, are safe and receive and excellent level of service
  • Undertaking evaluation and auditing activities relevant to SIRS and serious incidents
  • Activity participating in Continuous Quality Improvement Practices and accreditation activities in order to establish an environment which facilitates and promotes a culture of continuous improvement
  • Build, continuously improve and provide oversight and advice on organisational risk, compliance management on the audit framewor

To succeed in this role, you will have following skills and experience:

  • Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
  • Extensive experience in risk and compliance (5+ years) in Aged Care with excellent knowledge of the governing legislation of the industry and the
  • Significant experience in Clinical Governance and compliance and an understanding and managing regulatory change
  • Experience and competence in the use of data to evaluate care outcomes.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate the business requirements for quality and care management systems to ensure they are fit for purpose in the delivery of excellence in care service.
  • Strong leadership skills focused on mentoring and coaching others to lead governance excellence and quality management across the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams across functions and develop effective and collaborative working relationships
