The Compliance/Certification Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and systems meet all relevant regulatory, industry, and company standards. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure compliance with applicable certification requirements. The Certification Engineer will manage the certification process, from initial product development to final approval, ensuring that products are safe, reliable, and meet customer expectations.

REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE:

  • Stay informed about changes in relevant certification standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance to engineering and design teams on regulatory requirements and certification processes.
  • Participate in regulatory audits and inspections as needed.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality or Regulatory Affairs (e.g., ASQ, CQE) is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a certification, compliance, or quality engineering role.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL, FCC, etc.).

SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of certification and regulatory processes.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ideally, fluency in German and English
