Job Summary: The Compliance Assistant Manager will support the European Compliance Department in ensuring that the company adheres to all EU and UK regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves monitoring, reporting, and will support the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Compliance in providing guidance on compliance matters to various departments within the organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or compliance related field
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and payment industry standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Permission to work in Ireland

Beneficial:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a compliance role or related field
  • Relevant industry qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of the EU and Irish regulatory environment for Financial Services
  • Data Analysis; ability to understand and work with data
  • Proficiency in compliance management software
  • Fluency in additional languages

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance and risk programs and policies
  • Conduct regular compliance monitoring and assessments to ensure compliance with policy, risk and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and analyse changes in regulations and industry standards
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to the Board and regulatory bodies
  • Provide training and support to employees on compliance-related issues
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and complaints
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and documentation
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance
  • Assist in the management of the company Risk Register and Risk Appetite
  • Perform other duties assigned by management
