Description:
ABOUT THE POSITION:
We’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to assist in commercialization of new products and sub-systems. In this role, you will:
- Utilize a proactive systems engineering approach to problem solving.
- Serve as point of contact for teams involved in UL Compliance for industrial warehouse products.
- Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Manager and product development teams to ensure regulatory compliance is implemented correctly through project lifecycles for mechatronic and electronic products.
- Collaborate with colleagues in U.S. and Europe to develop an efficient approach to apply standards to our North American warehouse logistic products.
- Investigate new technologies related to automated material handling products.
- Participate in design reviews for risk analyses and test plans.
- Work with cross-functional groups to support a Lead Engineer and/or Program Manager.
- Work with external suppliers and outside professional NRTLs to assure industry compliance.
- Recommend changes in project direction in response to changing regulatory requirements.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Travel to customers and test suppliers as required. Travel is anticipated to be under 2%.
- Keep manager informed of progress, changes, priorities, issues, and project status.
- Support development teams in design, planning, and execution of validation testing.
