COMPLIANCE LEAD
Location - Cross Green, Leeds (will involve small amount of travel to sites)
Salary - To £35k

The role of Compliance Lead is a new position and as such an exciting opportunity, one that will allow the successful candidate to really take ownership of the function and build out processes and systems suited to the needs of the business.
The role, whilst part of our wider H&S / Technical Services function is a standalone team of one and as such will require you to be organised with strong stakeholder communication.
You will work closely with Health & Safety, Technical Services and our Commercial team to understand the needs of the business, ensure process adherence and provide options to enable the business to both operate efficiently, but most of all safely and within set parameters.
Whilst this position is office based, it will require the need for occasional travel to site, where you will work closely with our field based Operation Managers to review and ensure our sites are organised and compliant against standard operating processes.
YOU - EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES :
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft packages are essential)
- NEBOSH Construction qualified
- Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Strong written & verbal
- Communication skills
- Facilitators mentality - able to provide solutions and enable actions
- Comfortable working alone
- Able to balance to operational demands with legislative compliance
- Ability to build strong working relationships through open communication

Responsibilities:
- Understand the business and our operations - how each department works and their processes
- Auditing and evaluating information prior to commercial handover (ensuring all required reports / information / details are accurate and complete
- Oversee operational planning to ensure compliance with company procedures and proper file setup before site initiation.
- Ensure site setup aligns with the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
- Recover and scan all original site documentation post-project.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external ISO and industry accreditation audits.
- Report non-conformance at each project stage to the appropriate manager.
