Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Compliance Manager ensures that the organization adheres to legal standards and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing guidance to employees to foster a culture of compliance and integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the Construction and/or environmental remediation industry
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs and policies.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department and the organization’s facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Regularly review and update policies and procedures to align with changes in regulations and business operations.
- Stay informed about new and changing laws and regulations relevant to the Construction industry.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes and communicate necessary adjustments to the compliance program.
- Conduct regular internal audits and compliance assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Identify and evaluate compliance risks within the organization and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Provide recommendations for improving compliance controls and processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of compliance activities, including audits, training, and investigations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from employees, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with compliance objectives.
